Security:
Our facility is well lit and protected by security cameras. Outside doors are equipped with Ring Video Doorbells. All doors are equipped with modern coded locks, so there is no need to keep up with room keys. The hostel houses a large bank of lockers which are sized for standard airline carry ons.
Accessibility:
The Big Island Hostel is on the second floor and stairs are the only access.
Our historic, 1920’s building is NOT A.D.A. accessible.
For Travelers:
Our facility is available to travelers who have current travel documents showing that they are visiting the Hawaiian Islands for a limited amount of time along with proof of departure dates.
If you are moving to the island, in transition, live on the island, or have any other type of situation that does NOT fit our definition of a ‘Traveler’ as outlined above, reach out to us by sending an email to: info@thebigislandhostel.com
